terms & rules

Please read all the terms & rules below before registering. You can click on the plus sign to open each tab.

    1. The contest is voluntarily and resident hosted. There is no affiliation with the HOA or City of Buckeye.

    2. Any costs associated with the contest, including prizes, are paid for by the hosts & sponsors.

    1. Hosts & Sponsors are not eligible to enter the contest.

    2. Open to all residents of Festival Foothills & Sun City Festival in Buckeye, AZ 85396.

    3. Decorations must be displayed in the front area of a residential property.

    1. There is no fee to register.

    2. All registrations must be done by filling out the registration form.

    3. Registration opens at 5pm on Friday November 22, 2024.

    4. Registration closes at 8pm on Tuesday December 10, 2024.

    5. A photo of your display must be submitted in order to be entered into the contest. If your display uses lights, take a night photo, otherwise you may take a day photo. Please make sure no people, pets or license plates are in your photos. Photos will be posted publicly and used for voting and announcing winners.

    6. Late entries will not be accepted.

    1. The spirit map will include all contest participants and all non-participants who have requested to add their decorated home to the map.

    2. In order to add your home to the spirit map, you must fill out the registration form to give permission. We do not add homes without permission.

    3. The spirit map will be posted publicly online and include the address & display name of each home. A photo & description the display will only be shown for those that have submitted that information.

    4. Each contest participant will be assigned a number that will be used for voting purposes, their number will be reflected on the map marker for their location.

    5. The map will be updated once every 24-48hrs.

    6. The map will be available online until Sunday January 5, 2025.

    1. Neighbor's Choice: Most overall votes by neighbors.

    2. Light up the Night: Brightest light display, the more the merrier!

    3. Imagination: Best overall theme.

    4. Deck the Door: Most festive porch/patio decor.

    1. A jury of judges will select the winners for all categories except the neighbor's choice award.

    2. Ensure all holiday lights are on (if applicable) and decorations are visible from the street for judges and public to view.

    3. Public voting will open at 6pm on Friday December 13, 2024 and close at 8pm on Sunday December 22, 2024.

    4. Our jury will be out judging between 6-8pm from December 13-15, 2024. All decorations should be fully up and lit up during this time when applicable. 

    5. Residents of Festival Foothills and Sun City Festival are eligible to vote for the neighbor's choice award.

    6. Eligible residents can vote once per household/address, eligibility will be verified.

    1. Winners understand and agree that judges may take additional photos and/or videos of their display for contest purposes that may be posted publicly online along with winner announcements.

    2. Winners will be notified via email and publicly announced on Monday December 22, 2024.

    3. Winners will be responsible for picking up their winner packets from the host’s address in Festival Foothills.

    4. Winner packets include a gift card, goodie bag and a commemorative yard sign to display in their yard.

    5. Winner packets need to be picked up no later than Saturday December 28, 2024 or they will be forfeited and go to the runner up instead.
