Connecting neighbors, sharing local events, building community

Hey Festival Neighbors, I’m Dawn. After a couple of years living in Festival, I saw a need to bring our communities together, so I launched FestivalNeighbors.com in 2023. It started as a holiday contest and has grown to include an event calendar, business directory, newsletter, food truck schedule, and more.

I created this website as a personal project so everyone can access the information, regardless of which side they live on or whether they have a social media account. I do not work for the hoa, the city, builders, or any other organization. I am simply your neighbor. Much of the information comes from publicly available sources, and in many cases, I personally track it down and organize it in one simple place to make it easier for everyone to find. I do this because I want to, not because I am required to.

I have a full-time job, a family, and a personal life, so I manage this site in my spare time and cover all related expenses. While I do share updates on social media, it is not my primary focus, and I cannot commit to constantly reposting everything that is already available on the website. Everyone is free to access and share the information I’ve gathered, including sharing links to my site, the posts I do share on social media, downloading graphics, taking screenshots, or sharing in any other way they wish.

Residents are always welcome to share information with me that I’m not aware of, so they can contribute. However, I only add information that pertains to everyone, such as events open to both sides or the general public. I do not post events that are exclusive to one side or another.
